Relax
Shiatsu is a Japanese bodywork method that uses foot and finger pressure combined with rocking and stretching techniques to massage the body.
Rejuvenate
The ancient Eastern art aims to create greater harmony of mind and body through the application of gentle pressure along well-defined circulating pathways known as meridians. This promotes natural healing, restores and maintains health and vitality by balancing the body’s energies. According to Eastern philosophy, the body and mind are one, and meridians are linked to a particular body organ or physiological function. By pressing on the acupressure points located along fourteen invisible meridians, the therapist strengthens and stimulates the corresponding organ and improves its energy. Shiatsu can alleviate stress-related problems, reduce fatigue, and revitalize and energize the body, as well as relieve aches and pains. The receiver feels calmer and lighter after a Shiatsu session, and has an enhanced sense of physical well-being, including a greater degree of alertness and vitality.
Increased Energy
Shiatsu is not only considered an effective healing tool by many, but was officially recognized as a therapy by the Japanese government in 1964.
